Knitting Up A Storm!

I think I have turned into a pattern stalker! I just bought the Mondo Cable pattern from Chicknits. Man, I have NO self control. Actually I have admired this shell for awhile, but didn't have the yarn so I restrained myself. Then I had a brilliant idea while perusing my stash list, why not see if I have stash yarn to make a winter version and wear it as a vest over a blouse. Lo and behold I do have 750 yards of a olive green 100% wool that I didn't have enough to make a cardi or sweater so this is the perfect patch.

Yeah for me. I can't wait to start it. I love the yarn and hope it looks good as a winter vest. Time will tell.

I was spinning last night and this morning and man, I love spinning. It is so freaking addictive. I am going to a friend's cottage this weekend and wish I could bring it, but alas I can't. There will be about 10 adults and 10 children, so it won't be peaceful nor enough room to spin. Oh well. Plus everyone except my husband and kids won't stop ribbing me over the wheel, plus, I hope to be behind the boat on a pair of skiis or a kneeboard or a tube!

Anyway have a great weekend - here in Canada it is a long one, so I'm making the most of it.
