Knitting Up A Storm!

Wednesday, February 22, 2006

Not much knitting to report - kind of busy at work and at home. I have finished the first Fleece Artist sock. Fleece Artist sock yarn is a dream to knit with, however I really don't like the stitch definition I'm getting. I went down to 2.25mm because if I made the sock with 2.5mm it would have been huge, but using the 2.5mm - I like the look of the stitches better. I'm thinking I'll buy another skein, knit with 2.5mm and see how it goes.

Decisions, decisions, decisions.

I can't wait to finish these socks because I am so hot to trot for this sweater. I am using Red Heart Cozy wool (oh the shame), but this stuff is oh so soft, especially knit on huge honking needles. It is soft and squishy, and I can't wait to wear it next to my skin. I cast on and started the brioche for 3.5", and it looks pretty good, but am experiencing issues with this stitch on the purl side. I emailed Katherine for help, so I'm sure between her and I , I'll be set on the right track. Truth be told, it will be more Katherine than myself.

Lou Lou, who by the way is one of the funniest ladies I have met in a long, long time is going to knit the Top Down Cardi along side me. I wonder who will finish first? I do think it will be me because I have a girl's only weekend coming up soon, a trip to the Lake with the hubby, and a trip to the Falls - which equals lots o' lots of knitting time. Sorry Lou Lou, but I'm just stating the facts.

You ever meet someone end immediately hit it off? Well that is how I feel with Lou Lou. She is such a great person and as I said funnier than hell. She is a great addition to our SnB group. Oh and her friend Heather - a riot. Love when they come out for the evening.

BTW Brenda - I did graft the toe of the sock last night.
